Organization

Talks in all conference halls will begin at 10:00, so we ask that you arrive on time. Looking for a place to sit after a talk has started will not only disturb our speakers, but also your fellow audience members.

If you haven't decided what to see yet, you should check out the conference program and then, build your own.

Free Wi-Fi will be available for all conference attendees.

We will mainly be speaking English (and a bit of Czech) at this year’s WebExpo. The Great Hall will be English-only, and Lucerna Cinema will be introduced simultaneously in both Czech and English. Talks in the Lucerna Music Bar will not be translated to English or Czech.

Food and coffee

A morning snack will be served for free in the Lucerna Great Hall. This will include sweet baked goods from Bakeland and conference partner Rohlik.cz. You won’t miss out on your daily vitamins thanks to this certified conference trio: bananas, grapes, & apples. Water, coffe from Doubleshot and tea prepared by LMC will be also free. Coffee and water will be serving in front of every conference hall.

Lunch for all conference attendees is for subsidize price. You will find booths in the Lucerna Great Hall from around about 11:00. Both vegetarian and meat options will be available including soups, baguettes, salads, sushi, and coconuts (yes, coconuts!).

If you’re craving something else: we have also arranged the possibility to have lunch in the restaurant ROOM (about 200 meters from Lucerna Passage). We have also added other nearby lunch spots to our Foursquare map. We recommend making reservations during lunchtime.

The Back Stage isn’t backstage

In the Great Hall, you will also find the Back Stage for workshops and networking. On Friday, Credo Venture will be there to talk with you about your startup (and more!), and the Česká spořitelna hackathon is planned for Saturday.

Everything in one application

We developed a WebExpo app with Touch art team! Now, you can see your program, rate talks, find friends, and watch the latest news and tweets from one place. You can also send us your feedback in real time.

WebExpo Shop

We already have #webexpo socks and several t-shirt styles with designs by illustrator Jakub Bachorík ready to go! Don’t miss out on the chance to improve your wardrobe.

Listen carefully

When you register, you will get a printed program with all our talks. On the back, we’ll be playing a game of Conference Buzzword Bingo. Your card will have five rows and five columns. Cross off any words or phrases you hear during a talk, discussion or chat!

It’s not necessary to cross out the entire card - there are 25 boxes! All you need to win is a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line.

You can stop by any info point once your bingo card is filled. If you win during a party, send a DM to @webexpo on Twitter, and we’ll tweet you back.

The first 50 winners have a chance to take home a license for Sketch (10x) or Jetbrains (10x), books by our speakers, and other great prizes from our partners.

We honor fair play!

Accommodation

We do not provide attendees with any accommodation at the conference. However, it is not difficult to find a suitable place for every budget in Prague. If you need a place to stay, check out Airbnb or Booking.com.

TIP: If you’re booking through Airbnb for the first time, you can get 600 CZK off your stay from a current member.

Grab a ride for less

During WebExpo, Liftago will be offering a discount of 400 CZK for your first trip. Just use the code: WEBEXPO2016.

And finally, feedback!

Everything is going great: five-second lines, the fastest wi-fi, plenty of food, bottomless coffee…or maybe not.
We really try our best to think about everything for all of you. Your feedback and suggestions help us a lot! Your emails, your tweets, and the message board at the entrance to the Great Hall will be closely monitored. So, if you have something to say, we will respond. After the event, we will also be sending a feedback
