Technology has given many people graphic design as a instrument of self expression. Visual communication has become independent and ever-present. A highly competitive, creative industry has appeared, where players compete not only on talent and quality of ideas, but also the method of selling those ideas, as well as the ability to control cutting edge technologies.

These days, who is a designer? The current mediums of visual design (graphic design, typography, work with photography or video) have become as available as written word. Has design become a new level of literacy? Will it become a tool of ideology or politics? Who decides what is good or bad design? And does the designer bear responsibility for the environment that he creates around us?
