Jan is the co-founder of Modgen and the architect behind the company’s prediction engine. He earned his master’s degree in informatics at CTU in 2010, followed by a PhD. During his doctorate studies, he realized that many of the coolest scientific things achieved at the university were often thrown into drawers and never put to good use. At the same time, he noticed many companies were stuck with out-dated technology simply because they had no idea there were other options. Pavel Kohout is the Executive Director of New Media at Czech Television. He moved to Czech Television from FTV Prima and in previous years, he also worked as the director of a software company. He started out his professional career as a programmer. In fact, he was the man behind the very first Czech multimedia encyclopedia on CD-ROM in 1996.
